Independently
owned 91 room historic hotel. Completely
renovated and restored in 2000. Including
the addition of 10,000 square feet of Convention space and an upscale Restaurant
and Lounge. Reason for leaving:
Owner decided I had brought the hotel to a point where he could assume daily
operation of the hotel with the assistance of his CPA.

Re-organized organizational
structure which resulted in 60% reduction in payroll and decreased operational
expenses by 40% which resulted in doubling operating cash flow over a 12 month
period.
*
Reorganized guest-room (group
& transient) rate structure, doubling ADR and increasing room revenue while
maintaining pre-September 11 occupancy levels.
*
Created
preliminary 2002 & 2003 budget projections revenue and expense.

Implemented "manager on
duty" program. Cross training
of all management staff.

Secured AAA rating and
acceptance by Mobil to conduct a property inspection.

Conducted training for all
staff. (95% of staff (including
management) had no prior hotel experience)

Created and implemented
promotions to increase traffic through the hotel and its outlets by locals.

Created custom layout set up of
contact management software for increased time management of Sales &
catering staff, development of computer generated booking contract, group rooms
control book, planners guide, action plans, monthly reports and
"working" marketing plan.

Brought hotel into compliance in
area of human resources, building maintenance, permits, & employee safety.

Created and implemented employee
motivational programs to increase morale and active participation in the daily
operation of the hotel and as a result was able to promote from within to key
management positions.
* Streamlined operational reporting systems and included all management staff on distribution lists for more efficient management of departmental responsibilities.
